The client’s brief was to create a ‘wow’ hotel unlike any other. al3d assisted the client in the assembly of several land parcels at a highly prominent site in late 2015.
The vision for this site is a unique four star hotel delivering five star service. Bars and restaurants on the upper floors will benefit from the magnificent views across London.
The project will entail the demolition of existing buildings, facade retention and the creation of two new sub-basements below an existing basement. As the project is not part of the client’s main work stream, al3d has been appointed to assemble the entire design team to submit a planning application and deliver the construction of the building for opening in 2019.
Detailed research on London hotels has been carried out by al3d to identify desired elements that will be included in the final design. The project is currently being kept confidential so only limited information can be provided.
